Voor Nederlanders is Bitvavo de meest gebruikte keuze: het is een Nederlands bedrijf, je kunt betalen met iDEAL, en de klantenservice spreekt Nederlands. Bitvavo is geregistreerd bij de DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank). Andere betrouwbare opties zijn Kraken en Coinbase, beide met een MiCA-licentie voor de Europese markt.For users in the Netherlands, Bitvavo is the most popular choice: it is a Dutch company, you can pay with iDEAL, and customer support is available in Dutch. Als je crypto koopt, kun je kiezen hoe je koopt. Dit klinkt technisch, maar het is simpel:When buying crypto, you can choose how you buy. This sounds technical, but it's simple:

This is the easiest option for beginners.

Een limietorderA limit order koopt pas als de prijs op een bepaald niveau zit. Je zegt: "Koop €200 aan Bitcoin, maar alleen als de prijs onder €55.000 zakt." Als die prijs nooit bereikt wordt, vindt de aankoop niet plaats. Handig als je geduldig bent en denkt dat de prijs tijdelijk zal dalen.only buys when the price reaches a certain level. You say: "Buy €200 in Bitcoin, but only if the price drops below €55,000." If that price is never reached, the purchase doesn't happen. Useful if you're patient and think the price will drop temporarily.

Begin als beginner gewoon met marktorders. Ze zijn voorspelbaar en direct.As a beginner, just start with market orders. They are predictable and immediate.

Methode 2 — Van persoon tot persoon (P2P)Method 2 — Person to person (P2P)

P2P staat voor "peer-to-peer", wat gewoon betekent: je koopt crypto rechtstreeks van een andere persoon, zonder een exchange als tussenpersoon. Platforms als Bisq of LocalCoinSwap brengen kopers en verkopers bij elkaar.P2P stands for "peer-to-peer", which simply means: you buy crypto directly from another person, without an exchange as intermediary. Platforms like Bisq or LocalCoinSwap connect buyers and sellers.

Dit klinkt handig, maar het is ook risicovoller. Oplichters zijn actief op dit soort platforms. Voor je eerste aankoop raden we dit af. Als je toch P2P wil proberen, gebruik dan alleen platforms met een escrow-systeem (waarbij de crypto tijdelijk wordt vastgehouden totdat beide partijen akkoord zijn) en koop altijd van verkopers met een bewezen reputatie en veel transacties.This sounds convenient, but it is also riskier. Scammers are active on these platforms. We advise against this for your first purchase. If you do want to try P2P, only use platforms with an escrow system (where the crypto is held temporarily until both parties agree) and always buy from sellers with a proven reputation and many transactions.

DCA is bijzonder nuttig in een volatiele markt zoals crypto. Je hoeft niet te voorspellen wanneer de prijs daalt. Je bouwt gewoon rustig een positie op, maand voor maand. Sla de echte URL op als bladwijzer en gebruik die altijd. Klik nooit op links in e-mails die beweren van je exchange te zijn.Fake websites of well-known exchanges exist with names like "bitvav0.nl" or "bitvavo-login.com" — nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. Save the real URL as a bookmark and always use that. Never click links in emails claiming to be from your exchange.

Bewaar je herstelzin offline.Store your recovery phrase offline. Als je ooit een eigen digitale portemonnee gebruikt (buiten de exchange), krijg je een herstelzin van 12 of 24 woorden. Schrijf die op papier en bewaar het veilig. Write it down on paper and store it safely. Lose this and you lose access to your crypto — forever.
